Built on our core expertise in plastic and steel pipe trading — design, fabrication, and installation of fluid and gas transport systems.
Overview
Mechanical works are where our trading business and our contracting business meet directly. Because we distribute carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, UPVC and HDPE pipe and fittings ourselves, our mechanical teams design and install piping systems using material we already stock, cutting procurement delay and giving us full traceability from mill certificate to installed joint.
Our welders and pipe fitters hold trade certifications appropriate to the codes each project calls for, and every pressurised system we install — whether a fire main, a chilled water loop or a process line — is pressure tested and documented before it is handed over.
How The Process Works
Every mechanical works contract moves through the same disciplined sequence — so quality is built in at each stage, not inspected in at the end.
P&IDs, line schedules and material take-offs are reviewed against the project specification to confirm pipe class, jointing method and support spacing before ordering.
Pipe and fittings are drawn from our own stock range, with spooling and prefabrication carried out off-site where this speeds up installation and improves weld quality control.
Certified welders and pipe fitters install and join piping, pumps and tanks to the approved routing, with weld logs and NDT records kept for every joint that requires them.
Completed sections are hydrostatically or pneumatically tested, then flushed and, where required, disinfected before being connected to live systems.
Pumps and equipment are commissioned against design duty points, and as-built drawings and O&M manuals are compiled for handover.
Detailed Scope
A closer look at each part of the mechanical works scope, and the steps our teams follow to deliver it.

Carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, UPVC and HDPE networks are designed and installed for process, utility and transfer duties — sized, supported and jointed to suit the fluid, pressure and temperature they carry.

Hot and cold water systems, sanitary fixtures and wastewater networks are installed to public health code, balancing flow and pressure across every outlet in the building.

Sprinkler networks, hose reels, hydrants and dedicated fire pump rooms are installed and tested to protect life and property, with every stage documented for civil defence approval.

Booster pumps, lifting stations and large-capacity storage tanks are installed and commissioned to keep water and wastewater moving reliably through the network, even at peak demand.

Certified on-site and off-site welding and structural steel work support every other mechanical scope — from pipe spools to equipment supports and platforms.
